and Adolph Hitler
They, too, were
color-blind

lighting the African
mother's face--and on film; she
becomes his color-blind creation

The Afro men and BLACK women
filling up the prisons of America
are there
because their color-blind parents
LOOKED
at them

And into beauty's make-believe sunset,
the blind lead the blind
So that you DIED
because no one could remember
how perfectly
